    SteadyCoach is not a medical application. It is designed to support healthy eating habits and general wellbeing. It is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. 2. What Data We Collect

We collect only the data necessary to provide the app's features:

Account information — email address and display name (via Google Sign-In or email/password registration)
Food photos — images you upload for AI analysis, stored in Firebase Storage
Health and activity data — step counts, active minutes, weight entries you log manually or via screenshots
Daily check-in data — mood, stress, and craving ratings you submit
App usage data — crash reports and technical diagnostics via Firebase Crashlytics
Device information — device type and OS version for compatibility purposes

3. How We Use Your Data

To provide AI-powered meal feedback and coaching through OpenAI's API
To generate your daily summaries and personalized recommendations
To display your history, progress charts, and activity trends
To send reminders (only if you enable them in Settings)
To diagnose crashes and improve app stability

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate SteadyCoach:

Firebase (Google) — authentication, database, file storage, and crash reporting. Firebase Privacy Policy

We do not sell your data to any third parties.

5. Food Photos and AI Analysis

When you upload a food photo, it is sent to OpenAI's API for analysis. By using this feature, you consent to your photo being processed by OpenAI in accordance with their privacy policy. Photos are stored in Firebase Storage and associated with your account. You can delete your photos at any time by deleting the corresponding meal entry in the app.

6. Data Retention

Your data is retained as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all associated data (meals, check-ins, activity entries, weight entries, progress photos) will be permanently deleted within 30 days. To request account deletion, contact us at steadycoach.app@gmail.com.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

Access — request a copy of your personal data
Correction — request correction of inaccurate data
Deletion — request deletion of your account and all associated data
Portability — request your data in a machine-readable format

8. Children's Privacy

SteadyCoach is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

9. Security

We use industry-standard security measures including Firebase Authentication, encrypted data transmission (HTTPS), and Firebase Security Rules to protect your data. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
